International Women* Space is looking for admin support

International Women* Space (IWS) is a feminist, anti-racist, self-organized group in Berlin composed of refugee women*, migrant women* and women* without this experience.

We are looking for someone to support us with general and finance-related administration: 15 – 18 hours/week – initially for a limited period of 1 year. Start from 1st July / ASAP.

What there is to do:

  • General office management
  • Preparation for bookkeeping
  • Post / email support
  • Communication with authorities and service providers
  • Managing book orders
  • Support for the finance department

What you bring with you:

  • Good written and spoken German and English skills – your German must be good enough to communicate with German Behörden!
  • Experience with communication with authorities
  • Understanding of administrative issues in association and project work

What else is important to us:

  • Reliability and flexibility as well as the ability to work independently, and autonomously, with attention to detail and initiative
  • Identification with our feminist, anti-racist approach
  • Affinity with migrant-feminist struggles, knowledge of the situation of refugee women* and migrant women* in Germany
  • Social skills, openness and the ability to work in a team
