SUMMARY:Workshop with a Film Screening and Discussion on the Film “Das Recht, Rechte zu haben”
DESCRIPTION:We are very happy to invite you to our next workshop on 10.04. at 6 pm with a film screening and discussion on the film “The right to have rights – struggles of migrants, PoC, Sint*izze & Rom*nja for equal rights” followed by a discussion with the protagonists Jennifer Kamau und Sanaz Azimipour.\nThere are currently over 12 million people living in Germany without German citizenship. Among them are 1.5 million who, although born here, do not have a German passport.\nWhat does it mean to be stateless, to live with a “Duldung” ( ‘temporary suspension of deportation’) or to have a nationality other than German? What struggles have migrants, BPoC, Sint*izze & Rom*nja waged and are currently waging for equal rights?\nThe film encourages us to think about the meaning of citizenship and to campaign for a society in which the right to have rights applies to everyone without restriction. It was produced as part of the “Pass(t) uns allen” campaign by With Wings and Roots e.V. and RomaniPhen e.V. The film is in German and English spoken language with English and German\nsubtitles. The discussion will be in English with the option of translation into German.\nParticipation only with registration at: trixiewiz@gmail.com\n//\nWir freuen uns sehr, euch zu unserem nächsten Workshop mit einer Filmvorführung und Diskussion des Filmes “Das Recht, Rechte zu haben” mit den Protagonistinnen* Jennifer Kamau und Sanaz Azimipour  am 10. April um 18 Uhr einzuladen.\nIn Deutschland leben aktuell über 12 Millionen Menschen ohne deutsche Staatsangehörigkeit, unter ihnen 1,5 Millionen, die keinen deutschen Pass besitzen, obwohl sie hier geboren sind. Der Film «Das Recht, Rechte zu haben» regt dazu an, über die Bedeutung von Staatsangehörigkeit nachzudenken, über Staatenlosigkeit und das Leben mit einer Duldung. Welche Kämpfe von geflüchteten und nicht-geflüchteten Migrant*innen, BPoC und/oder Rom*nja und Sint*izze für gleiche Rechte wurden/werden geführt – wie können wir uns gemeinsam für eine Gesellschaft einsetzen, in der das Recht auf Rechte uneingeschränkt gilt?\nDer Kurzfilm wurde im Rahmen der Kampagne Passt Uns Allen von RomaniPhen und With Wings and Roots erstellt.\nIm Anschluss Gespräch mit:\n– Jennifer Kamau – Protagonistin, International Women* Space, International Women* Space\n– Sanaz Azimipour – Protagonistin, MigLoom e.V., Kampagne “Nicht ohne uns 14 Prozent”\nDer Film ist in deutscher und englischer Lautsprache mit englischen und deutschen Untertiteln.\nDie Veranstaltung wird auf Englisch mit Übersetzung auf Deutsch stattfinden, für die Teilnahme wir bitten um Anmeldung unter: trixiewiz@gmail.com\n
