CALL:
Apartments instead of mass accommodation!
Life in collective centres is inhumane. Many people have to live there in confined spaces. They have to share toilet, shower and kitchen with many people.
If the residents have income, they pay up to 400 Euros for a place in a shared room (in Potsdam), in Oberhavel even up to 500 Euros.
There are no rest rooms. This makes especially women and children ill.
Some people live there for many years. They are not allowed to move to another apartment.
They are not allowed to set up their own WLAN. The camps are often on the outskirts or outside of settlements. They often have to walk long distances to the bus stop.
The danger of the Covid-19 virus is very high in homes. “Keep your distance” and disinfection are impossible here. If a person is infected with Covid-19, the whole shelter is quarantined. The narrow living conditions often lead to more and more people becoming infected (e.g. in Hennigsdorf).
We say: This is a crime!

To the local authorities, administrative districts and state government:
In the Corona crisis: People must be able to move into apartments and hotels immediately: Stop the danger of infection in mass accommodations!

Forever:
> Abolish collective housing and shared rooms!
> For the right to live in one’s own apartment – More apartments for everyone!
> Stop the isolation of the residents: Create easy access to schools, culture, public transportation and contacts with neighbours!
> For a self-determined living and life of the residents: They should be allowed to decide for themselves: With whom they live. What they cook. Or what and when they want to eat!
> For more privacy and safe toilets and showers!

Evacuate the EU camps!
We are angry: In refugee camps in Greece tens of thousands of people live behind barbed wire and fences. They seek protection, but are put into camps.
They do not have enough medicine there, no hot water, no toilets and showers.
They cannot protect themselves from diseases like COVID-19.
People’s livelihoods and hopes are being destroyed. Nazis are hunting down the refugees and helpers.
The EU and Germany have the responsibility for the situation. The people cannot use their right of asylum.

To the state government:
> For a state reception program: Brandenburg should immediately take more people from camps in Greece. Legal opinions (https://t1p.de/tyzc, https://t1p.de/v4gx) show that this is possible.

To the local authorities and administrative districts:
> Put pressure on the state and federal government, become “safe harbours” like Teltow, Potsdam, Potsdam-Mittelmark, Schöneiche, Fürstenwalde/Spree and many other municipalities in Germany!
> Makes more family reunifications possible!

We demand a humane, self-determined life for everybody!

DEUTSCH

Was sie kochen.
