This is a piece I wrote on behalf of International Women* Space and every woman out there!

I am a woman. Queer. Trans. I conform to no gender. I am a sex worker. Heterosexual. Bisexual! I am deeply Religious, no Heck am a proud atheist. Call me a witch on my magical days, or the moon on a mood swing. 

I am a refugee. A migrant. Thoroughly indigenous! I am a Feminist. A warrior. A matriarch. A mother, by choice, or not. Childless, also by choice, or not! A power house! Definitely a goddess! I am who the fuck I say I am. 

Carved from the most Superior. Call me Mother Earth, I mean, heck I filled it, didn’t I? I am Nature. I Am Life. 

I am black, yellow, white fuck it today I am a smurfet. I am blue.

 I am YOU, but I am also ME!  I am WE! 

I am every person that identifies as a woman in the world. My voice is every woman’s voice. 

Guess what? I am also HUMAN! 

The kind that is endangered!

So you bet I am furious, fed up! Just fuckin livid! 

Utterly irked and inflamed that, like my slain sisters, I would also bare my life so others can be free. 

Break every rule you set for me, Fight at every corner with all in me. Kill me you may, but fuck that, it’s a move I intend to play!

I will not drown in the murky waters of patriachy!

But, I am not free until every woman is free, not even when her shackles are different from my own, and her burdens unimaginable to me. 

So on this day we reclaim our voices and call you out! 

For treating us like less than human! 

From the global south we fight and flee, from wars you can’t possibly fathom, 

But our lands are apparently not good enough, go figure, yet you robbed them bare! Not good enough to be human.

Your methods, sneaky and covert,

Yet the sadism so palatable

Creating racist systems and structures, asylum procedures governed by red tape

Placing us in Lagers, legal brewing pots for re-traumatization, 

Our mental health hanging in the balance,

No freedom of movement or right to self determination

Yet with the great audacity of a saviour’s complex, our appreciation for the bare minimum is demanded of us..

Are we not human enough? 

You sanction the pushbacks of migrants and refugees from the Mediterranean

Invest millions in building a detention and deportation center, a buzzing hub of human rights inviolations

All the while welcoming the white Ukranian refugee, “hey, come, live and be free!” 

Yet my security and protection remains culturally and systemically tied to a man,

Let’s face it, the choices before women seeking refuge are neither fair nor enviable, not in any capacity

We flee from families, religious shackles, abusive partners, societal standards and expectations, gender roles, systemic inequality, horrific sexual violence, psychological burdens…I could go on and on…

All I have is my person, my body, my talents, my beauty, intelligence, a bit of mania maybe…my identity! I reclaim it!

Non-negotiable, I can tell you now for free, I won’t trade me. Hell no!

I choose who I want to be. I choose me.

I figured, you must fear the warrior in me, ’tis why you throw all this at me! projecting your toxic bullshit on me, try to keep me quiet and hopefully eventually

kill me…

How about the robbery, with and without violence, of my autonomy, the right to my own person? When you just assume my body is yours for the taking 

Roles and rules you set for me, micromanaging every smile, my life is not my own. 

That makes my blood boil! That you choose what I should wear and who I should bang. You want to handpick my options, and expect me to stay in “my place”

Then taunt, break, maim me, discipline me to get your point across…

Still innovative you are: FGM, domestic violence, sexual harassment, financial violence, infanticide, femicide, marital rape, street and cyber harassment…its just fuckin endless!!

So yes I am an Angry Black woman!

Who wouldn’t be?? 

When you fetishize me and grope me, harass me, rape me, violate my sexual and reproductive health rights..

Make assumptions and decisions over a reproductive organ you don’t carry

When I deny or “defy you”, your tool is corrective rape or assault, that should teach me!

You fetishize me but then humiliate me, misgender me, inspect and mock my body, gawk at me…

You scream my name in pleasure when you switch to incognito tab, yet you tear and strip me of my very dignity and identity!

Your punches may keep me down sometimes, but they will never knock me out! 

See what men fear most about going to prison, is the day to day life of a woman walking down the sidewalk. So take a seat place. You know nothing about being me.

What we can all identify with as women, is that feeling that comes with the chokehold of patriachy, you know, that stifling, suffocating shit that is a literal ticking time bomb?

Don’t we all know too well the feeling of having to fake a phone call, taking a longer route, making conscious steps not to provoke an aggressor?

That sinking feeling, hashtags, another dead woman, 

It dawns on you, a sitting duck barely surviving, 

Some day, it may be YOU who runs out of luck..

We cannot be afraid or hold back, even when the system fights us, trying to divide and conquer us!

We must dismantle and crush all oppressive systems and structures! 

We are more than hashtags, More than our bodies, stories or identities..

Time to call out every person who perpetrates or condones patriachy and gender based violence, even by staying silent in the face of it. 

We are under siege, we must fight every system set in place to break us.

Speak up! Let us demand change, justice and equality!

For until all of us are free and safe, none of us are!

As a woman you call me many names, so remember this one, 

My kind, is called Patriarchy’s Worst Nightmare!

WE BREAK YOUR BORDERS – WE SMASH YOUR FASCISM

We are calling for an internationalist 8th of March – to join forces in a common fight against the oppressions caused white supremacy. Internationalist solidarity means that our struggles are connecting us around the World. We are everywhere, We are resisting: in every street, in every occupied land, in the mountain, on the sea, at the border, in Working places, at home, in the lager, and inside prisons. Oppression has a thousand faces and we do not accept any of them. We will continue fighting and defending ourselves against all forms of structural, political, social, and economic violence and injustice. That is why they are afraid of us and use all kinds of repression against us. So be afraid, because we are not backing down!

We are loud, we are clear:
Our resistance will break your borders and will smash your fascism.

White supremacist imperialism is destroying lives, using the pretense of “human rights” to legitimize war, occupations, detention centers, and blood-drenched borders. People at the EU borders are criminalized, imprisoned, and dehumanized by EU-funded border police and fascist paramilitary forces. Their pushbacks kill people. These are illegal crimes against humanity committed by EU governments. It is not the people at the borders who are the threat, it is the lies and illegal crimes of the governments that threaten our societies.

There is them, and there is us.
They export arms, fund wars, and bloodshed. They create crises that they greatly profit from.
They want us to believe that the reason they kill and exploit us is to save us.
They have borders, but we have resistance.
Enough of exploiting our bodies, our lands, and our resources!
Enough of killing us on the borders, in the sea, and on the land!
Enough with the femicides!
Enough of patriarchal impunity!

We, the Alliance of Internationalist Feminists, know that self-organization and self-defense are our indestructible strength in fighting against imperialism, fascism, capitalism, patriarchy, and White supremacy. Only an internationalist resistance will put an END to colonial borders and imperialist agendas.

Anlässlich des »Internationalen Tags gegen Gewalt an Frauen« wurden in Berlin Fahnen gehisst, Gebäude orange angestrahlt und haufenweise Posts in sozialen Netzwerken verfasst, um darauf aufmerksam zu machen, dass Gewalt gegen Frauen, nicht-binäre-, trans- und inter-Personen kein Einzelfall ist. Aber das reicht natürlich nicht aus.

Deshalb zogen diesen Mittwochabend rund 2000 Frauen, nicht-binäre-, trans- und inter-Personen durch die kalten und dunklen Straßen in Berlin-Mitte. Mit Abstand und Masken liefen die Demonstrierenden vom Auswärtigen Amt, über das Humboldt-Forum, bis zur Volksbühne und forderten: »Schwesterliche* Solidarität reicht nicht aus. Es geht um Widerstand«.

Organisiert wurde die Demo von der »Alliance of Internationalist Feminists Berlin«. Sie machten deutlich, dass Gewalt an Frauen* strukturell ist und mit den rassistischen Strukturen unserer Gesellschaft einhergeht. Frauen* of Colour, Schwarze Frauen*, indigene Frauen*, geflüchtete Frauen sind in Deutschland einer doppelten Diskriminierung ausgesetzt und somit auch doppelter Gewalt. Durch ein sexistisches-partriachales und gleichzeitig rassistisches System.

Für diese Rote Brause Folge habe ich die Demo der »Alliance of Internationalist Feminists Berlin« begleitet und mit Doris Dede von »Women in Exile & Friends« und Killa und Schokoofeh vom »International Women* Space« über strukturelle Gewalt gegen Frauen, nicht-binäre-, trans- und inter-Personen of Colour gesprochen.

Thousands of women shout “No War, No Fascism” on the International Womens Day in Berlin

Women of Kurdish, Tamils etc. participated… Korea Verband made a speech for the “comfort women”

(Berlin=Yonhap News) Kwang Bin Lee correspondent= “We want revolution. We are against patriarchy, war, racism and fascism.”

Thousands of women came to the street of Berlin on the 8^th which was the International Women’s Day (local time) to participate in the march and demonstration. The march was like a festival. Techno and traditional music was turned on from the truck leading the march and participants danced along.

It was easy to see women holding beer bottles while marching as it is typical for young Berliners in public. This was a “International Women’s Demonstration” hosted by “International Women’s Space” and 30 other organizations participating including Korea Verband.

2,000 people marched filling the four-lane road. It took more than 2 hours to arrive at the Oranienplatz, the end point, starting from Schlesisches Tor at 4pm. The demonstration welcomed only WLTI – Women, Lesbians, Trans*, Inter*. During the march, two men tried to interrupt by making loud noises with a drum and a piccolo. A drunk man ran into the march and was sent to the back by the demonstration securities.

Kurdish, Syrian and Tamils from Sri Lanka women and other women from diverse backgrounds participated. It was a demonstration on the international women’s day, but shouted out slogans against war, racism and fascism. These slogans are based on the awareness that war, racism and fascism commit violence and abuse human rights against women and other marginalized groups.

The other demonstration group starting from another spot have joined at oranienplatz around 7pm. It was a demonstration welcoming women and men. It seemed like there were about 1,000 people in that demonstration. The International Women’s Space stated in its speech that “war, fascism, capitalism, poverty and violence is a part of the system. We do not want to change this system. We want to remove this system”. Sarah, who participated on behalf of ‘FRIEDA’, mentioned that “this event is very meaningful in the sense that women from diverse countries gather in solidarity to take back the isolated rights of women”.

Kurdish women marched with a flag of three women who disappeared during their independent movements in France. Tamil women held a placard indicating the fact that 140,000 Tamils have been disappeared during the conflict.

Korea Verband e.V. also made a speech about the sexual slavery drafted by the Japanese military during WWII(“comfort women”). It mentioned that “It was only 1991 when the sexual slavery drafted by the Japanese military (“comfort women”) was known by the public when Ms. Kim Hak Soon, survivor of the “comfort women” system, spoke out. Her testimony led to numerous testimonies by surviors in the Philippines, North Korea, Taiwan, China and Indonesia. Her testimony is the starting point of the Me Too movement in Korea” and added that “we want genuine apology from the Japanese government”.

There were also some Korean participants. Jiae Kim, who is in France as an exchange student, mentioned that she came to the demonstration during her travel in Berlin after reading the information from Facebook. She added that “My interest in Feminism and experience of racism in France brought me here”.

It was also astonishing to see the performance by Gaya Group which is consisted of women who came to Germany as nurses 50 years ago.

Tausende von Frauen riefen “Kein Krieg, kein Faschismus” am internationalen Frauentag in Berlin.

Kurdische Frauen, Tamilen etc. nahmen teil… Der Korea Verband trug eine Rede zu dem Thema “Trostfrauen“ vor.

(Berlin=Yonhap News) Korrespondent Kwang Bin Lee= “Wir wollen Revolution. Wir sind gegen Patriarchalismus, Krieg, Rassismus und Faschismus.”

Tausende von Frauen sind am 8. März, dem internationalen Frauentag, auf die Straßen von Berlin gegangen, um an dem Fußmarsch und der Demonstration teilzunehmen. Der Fußmarsch war wie ein Festival. Sowohl Techno, als auch traditionelle Musik wurden auf dem Lastwagen gespielt, welcher die Demonstration anführte, und die Teilnehmer haben dazu getanzt.

Es waren Frauen mit Bierflaschen in der Hand zu sehen, während sie an der Demonstration teilnahmen. Ein Bild, das typisch ist für junge Berliner in der Öffentlichkeit. Diese Demonstration zum internationalen Frauentag wurde vom “International Womens Space” veranstaltet und 30 weitere Organisationen, darunter auch der Korea Verband, nahmen daran teil.

2,000 marschierende Menschen füllten eine vierspurige Straße aus. Es dauerte über zwei Stunden, bis der Zielpunkt am Oranienplatz erreicht wurde, gestartet wurde am Schlesischen Tor um 16 Uhr. Während der Demonstration durften nur WLTI-Menschen teilnehmen – Women Lesbians, Trans*, Inter*. Während der Demonstration versuchten zwei Männer diese mit lauten Musikinstrumenten zu stören. Ein betrunkener Mann rannte in die Demonstration hinein, wurde aber vom Sicherheitspersonal an das Ende des Marsches geschickt.

Kurdische, syrische und tamilische Frauen und auch Frauen aus vielen verschiedenen Ländern nahmen teil. Es war zwar eine Demonstration am internationalen Frauentag, doch wurden auch Rufe gegen Krieg, Rassismus und Faschismus geäußert. Diese Ausrufe sollen einem ins Bewusstsein rufen, dass Krieg, Rassismus und Faschismus Menschen, insbesondere Frauen, verletzen und missbrauchen.

Eine weitere Gruppe von Demonstranten haben den Oranienplatz um 19 Uhr erreicht und haben sich der ersten Gruppe angeschlossen. Diese Demonstration hat sowohl Frauen, als auch Männer willkommen geheißen. Es schien, als hätten in dieser Demonstration um die 1,000 Menschen teilgenommen. Der “International Women’s Space” fing ihrer Rede damit an, dass Krieg, Faschismus, Kapitalismus, Armut und Gewalt ein Teil des Systems sei. Sie wolle dieses System nicht ändern. Sie wollen das System entfernen. Sarah, die für ‘FRIEDA’ teilnahm, meinte: “Diese Veranstaltung ist sehr wichtig, da sich Frauen aus verschiedenen Ländern in Solidarität versammeln, um die isolierten Rechte der Frauen zurück zu erobern. Kurdische Frauen marschierten mit einer Flagge, auf der drei Frauen zu sehen waren, die während ihrer Unabhängigkeitsbewegung in Frankreich verschwanden. Tamilische Frauen hielten Plakate, auf denen Stand, dass 140,000 Tamilen während Konflikten verschwunden sind.

Der Korea Verband e.V. hielt zudem eine Rede über die Sexsklaven, welche während des zweiten Weltkrieges vom japanischen Militär entführt wurden (“Trostfrauen”). Es wurde zudem erwähnt, dass erst im Jahre 1991 die Taten des japanischen Militärs, als Frau Kim Hak Soon als Überlebende “Tostfrau” öffentlich darüber redete, bekannt wurden. Ihre Zeugenaussage führte zu zahlreichen Aussagen von Frauen aus den Philippinen, Nord-Korea, Taiwan, China und Indonesien. Ihre Aussage war der Anfang der Me Too Bewegung in Korea und es wurde noch die Forderung einer ehrlichen Entschuldigung der japanischen Regierung hinzugefügt.

Es waren auch einige koreanische Teilnehmer mit dabei. Jiae Kim, welche in Frankreich als AustauschstudentIn ist, meinte, dass sie zu dieser Demonstration gekommen sei, da sie bei ihrem Ausflug nach Berlin eine Anzeige auf Facebook zu der Veranstaltung gesehen hat. Sie fügte noch hinzu: „Mein Interesse am Feminismus und meine eigenen Erfahrungen mit Rassismus in Frankreich haben mich hierhergeführt”.

Es war zudem erstaunlich die Aufführung von “Gaya Group” zu sehen, welche aus Frauen bestand, die vor 50 Jahren als Krankenschwestern nach Deutschland kamen.

8. März Internationaler Frauen*kampftag!

Wir organisieren uns gegen Patriarchat, Krieg, Rassismus und Faschismus.

Krieg, Faschismus, Kapitalismus, Armut und Gewalt sind Teil eines Systems. Wir wollen dieses System nicht ändern, wir wollen es weg!

Deutschland und andere westliche Länder profitierten seit Jahrhunderten von der Kolonialisierung der Welt. Sie profitieren immer noch von Krieg und Völkermord und exportieren Waffen in Konfliktregionen. Wenn Menschen flüchten, treffen sie auf rassistische und sexistische Staatsgewalt.

Wir kämpfen gegen Rassismus und Faschismus auf den Straßen und im Parlament. Wir kämpfen gegen Versuche der Staaten den Widerstand zu kriminalisieren!

Wir kämpfen gegen Frauen*morde und gegen häusliche Gewalt. Wir kämpfen gegen die Vergewaltigungskultur, in der Gewalt gegen Frauen*, Nichtbinäre-, Inter*- und Trans*menschen als normal wahrgenommen wird – bei der Arbeit, bei staatlichen Behörden, auf der Straße, zu Hause.

Die Gesellschaft ist auf der Ausbeutung von Frauen* aufgebaut: unserer Arbeit, unseres Körpers und unseres Geistes. Sie isoliert Frauen* voneinander – in Gefängnissen, Lagern, an Arbeitsplätzen und in Heimen.

Egal wie schlecht die Situation einer Gruppe von Menschen ist, Frauen* dieser Gruppe haben meist schlechtere Bedingungen. Während die hegemonialen Regierungen der Welt beschlossen haben, die Angriffe und den Einmarsch von Faschist*innen überall zu unterstützen, haben wir keine andere Wahl als zusammenzukommen und uns zu wehren, haben wir keine andere Wahl als Revolution, um uns zu befreien!

Wir wollen eine Gesellschaft aufbauen, die auf kollektivem Leben und feministischer Solidarität basiert! In der Wasser und Land Gemeingüter sind, nicht Privateigentum!

Wir kämpfen für unsere Selbstbestimmung über unsere Existenz, unseren Körper, unsere Geschlechtsidentität und unseren Geist!

Wir werden gewinnen, indem wir uns organisieren und uns verteidigen! Indem wir uns miteinander solidarisieren! Internationale Streiks organisieren! Uns die Straßen nehmen!

March 8 – International Women*s Day of Struggle

We organize against patriarchy, war, racism and fascism!

War, fascism, capitalism, poverty and violence are part of one system. We don’t want to change this system, we want it gone!

Germany and other Western countries profit for centuries from the colonisation of the world. They still profit from war and genocide, and export weapons to conflict regions. When people flee, they are met with racist and sexist state violence.

We fight against racism and fascism in the streets and in the parliament! We fight against state attempts to criminalize resistance!

We fight to end femicide and domestic violence. We struggle against rape culture, where violence against women*, non-binary, inter* and trans*people is perceived as normal – at work, by state authorities, on the streets, at home.

This society is built on the systematic exploitation of women*: of our labor, our bodies, and our spirit. It isolates women* from each other – in prisons, Lagers, workplaces and homes.

No matter how bad a situation of a group of people, women* in this group often have worse conditions. To free and liberate ourselves, in a time when hegemonic governments have decided to support attacks and fascism around the world, we have no choice but to come together and fight back! We have no choice but revolution!

We want to build a society based on communal life and feminist solidarity! Where water and land are common goods, not private property!

We fight for our self-determination over our existence, our gender identity, our bodies and our spirits!

We will fight and we will win by organizing ourselves and defending ourselves! By practicing solidarity with each other!
By organizing International Strikes! By taking the streets!
BY FIGHTING TOGETHER!
