30 Jahre Mauerfall, 30 Jahre deutsch-deutsche Vereinigung: Jahrestage wie diese sollten Anlass dafür geben, die kollektive Erinnerung neu zu sortieren und auszurichten, Orientierungen und Werte neu zu verhandeln. Erinnerungskultur muss deshalb mehr als nur die Mehrheitsgesellschaft im Gedächtnis behalten. Die Publikation Labor 89 offeriert intersektionale Perspektiven auf die Wendezeit. In acht Porträts erzählen politische Aktivistinnen* aus Schwarzen, People of Color- und/oder queer* feministischen Positionierungen über gesellschaftliche Kämpfe für Gleichberechtigung und Selbstbestimmung. Sie loten die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen politischer Partizipation aus, erinnern an historische Ereignisse, Debatten, Aktionen und Community-übergreifende Projekte und füllen die Zeit zwischen Mitte der 1980er und Mitte der 1990er Jahre mit ihren Geschichte*n.

30-year anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, 30-year anniversary of German-German unification: Anniversaries such as these should provide an occasion to re-sort and realign collective memory, to renegotiate orientations and values. Remembrance culture must, therefore, remember more than just the social majority. The publication offers intersectional perspectives on the period of reunification. In eight portraits, political activists from black, POC and/or queer* feminist positions tell of social struggles for equality and self-determination. They explore the possibilities and limits of political participation, recall historical events, debates, actions and cross-community projects, filling the time between the mid-1980s and mid-1990s with their h*stories.
