Poetry Slam Night
Join us for our poetry slam night organized by Resilient Voices on Dec. 6th at 18:30h at OYA Bar!️ This event is a cooperation between IW*S and OYA Bar, for FLINTA* Only (Frauen, Lesben, Intersex, Nicht-binäre, Trans und Agender Personen; Women, Lesbians, Intersex, Non-binary, Trans, and Agender Persons). Resilient Voices is a queer working group within IW*S born from the need to have a safer space to address queer issues and topics fueled by systems of oppression including racism, homophobia, transphobia, neo/colonialism, and capitalist structures. We are working to create intersectional awareness, spaces for political empowerment, and possibilities for self-organized education within our communities through artistic expression, artivism, and art therapy. Our goals are to amplify queer voices and add our queer-feminist perspectives to the Refugee Movement and BIPoC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) communities and collectives.
By saying ‘FLINTA* only’ we try to create a safe space for people who identify as women, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender persons. No TERFS! No transphobia!
We are so excited to network and indulge in this collective creative expression! Join us for a night to indulge our rightful urge to purge! Unbridled, we give free rein to our creativity!
