The introduction of the Bezahlkarte for refugees is taking us back then to the old system of Vouchers we once fought to be abolished.

We want to identify where the Bezahlkarte is already in use and where it will be soon. We want to know what information is being shared about it and what questions people have.

We have created a short survey for anyone living in Heims / Shelters in Berlin or Brandenburg.

There are only a few questions and it will take just take a few minutes to answer.

Im vergangenen Sommer erreichte uns die Nachricht vom Unrast Verlag, dass unser Buch Als ich nach Deutschland kam neu aufgelegt wird – Juju! Als wir die Anfrage erhielten, ein paar Worte für die Neuauflage zu schreiben, hatten wir die Idee, die Sprecherinnen* der Konferenz 2017 zu fragen, ihre Erinnerungen, Gedanken und Reflexionen mit uns zu teilen. Es war eine Freude und zugleich berührend, diese Beiträge nach und nach zu erhalten. Sie ermöglichten uns nicht nur, rückblickend auf das Projekt zu schauen, sondern auch unsere aktuellen Kontexte und Entwicklungen einzubeziehen.

On this World Refugee Day we must confront the harsh realities faced by millions forced to flee their homes. As refugees we ask, are we offered the protection we deserve? Does data protection apply to those seeking asylum? Does freedom of movement and speech extend to refugees? The inhumane treatment of displaced people exposes the hypocrisy of nations claiming to uphold human rights.

On April 8th 2024 we joined the ROMADAY Parade in Berlin organized by the Roma* and Sinti* community.
