Nein zur Bezahlkarte – Conference Programm
With this conference, we are aiming to organise against the Bezahlkarte in Berlin and Brandenburg. We would like to invite activists, organisations, affected people, groups and individuals to come together and get involved in the fight against the dehumanizing and discriminating Bezahlkarte. To have a collective impact, we will form three working groups following a legal, a social and a political approach. Our common goal is to abolish the Bezahlkarte.

Do you live in a Heim / Shelter in Berlin or Brandenburg > Could you answer a few questions about the Bezahlkarte?
The introduction of the Bezahlkarte for refugees is taking us back then to the old system of Vouchers we once fought to be abolished.
We want to identify where the Bezahlkarte is already in use and where it will be soon. We want to know what information is being shared about it and what questions people have.
We have created a short survey for anyone living in Heims / Shelters in Berlin or Brandenburg.
There are only a few questions and it will take just take a few minutes to answer.

“To be a refugee” – IW*S statement on World Refugee Day 2024
On this World Refugee Day we must confront the harsh realities faced by millions forced to flee their homes. As refugees we ask, are we offered the protection we deserve? Does data protection apply to those seeking asylum? Does freedom of movement and speech extend to refugees? The inhumane treatment of displaced people exposes the hypocrisy of nations claiming to uphold human rights.
