Our fight against anti-semitism must be in the context of resistance against racism, capitalism and all forms of state violence.
Today is one year since the anti-semitic and racist terrorist attack in Halle which cost Jana L. and Kevin S. their lives. The Aktionsbündnis Antirassismus - of which IWS is a member - organised a memorial rally and demonstration together with joint plaintiffs in the Halle trial and the community of the Fraenkelufer Synagogue in Berlin. Coronavirus, whose lives matter?
In an isolated refugee accommodation centre on the outskirts of Hennigsdorf in Brandenburg, its around 400 residents found themselves under indefinite quarantine. Instead of immediately isolating the infected residents after 68 people were declared Covid-19 positive, all five buildings were put under quarantine, with little information or consultation from the local authority who manage the accommodation.

In the shadow of Corona: Police Violence against women and children in a Lager in Brandenburg
On June 1st a women, who lives in a Lager* in Brandenburg sent us an alarming video-clip, recorded on the day before. The video depicts a police-operation in the Lager: In a small corridor several police officers are pinning down a woman on the floor, other officers are securing the site, many residents (including children) can be heard screaming.

Der International Women Space (IWS) veröffentlicht aus gegebenen Anlass Corona-Lager-Berichte. Die Corona-Lager-Berichte sind Audioaufnahmen persönlicher Zeugnisse von Frauen, die in Brandenburger Geflüchtetenunterkünften (Lager, Heime, Erstaufnahmeeinrichtungen) untergebracht sind.
